Welcome to the Home of the Brookfield Breakers Swim Team


We participate in the Northern Virginia Swimming League (NVSL), and are in Division 14.
The Brookfield Swim Team is open to all members of the Brookfield Swim Club. Swimmers must be at least 4 years of age, prior to June 1 of the current year. Swimmers may swim through the summer of their 18th birthday or after their first year of college, whichever comes first. Per NVSL league regulations, you must have a family pool membership to participate on the swim team. Please check out the About tab for specific information regarding our swim programs.

Anna earned the All American title by being one of the 100 fastest high school swimmers in the 100 yard backstroke! Way to go Coach Anna! Your Breaker Team is very proud of you!

2018 Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach

The Brookfield Swim Team is thrilled to announce the hiring of Claire Kenna as the new head coach for the 2018 summer season!  Ms. Kenna began her swimming career as a Brookfield Breaker, has instructed swimmers at beginning/competitive levels and continues to swim at St. Vincent College.  We will enthusiastically welcome Claire back to the Brookfield Swim Team family this summer!

The Breakers will also welcome a new assistant head coach this summer. David Amezcua was a year-round swim coach in Texas before moving to our area last year to become an assistant swim coach of a NCAA Division III team, Gallaudet University. With the summer off from his full time coaching responsibilities, Mr. Amezcua will be poolside at Brookfield assisting Claire and learning the traditions that make our swim team great!

2018 Pool Records

July 10, 2017 A. Kenna broke the previous Breakers record by J. Bouck from 1988 100 IM 1:12:20 with new record 1:10:68. 

July 17, 2017 A. Kenna broke her own 100 IM record with a time of 1:10:58. 

June 18, 2018 A. Kenna broke her own record with the new time 1:10:17.
